dodili (“the extension”) is a Chrome extension for analyzing business-for-sale listings. This policy explains what data dodili handles and why.
What we collect
- Listing page content. When you click “Scan” on a listing page, the extension reads that page’s HTML, title, and URL and sends it to our backend for AI-powered data extraction. It is only read on the page you are actively viewing, only when you click Scan — never automatically and never in the background.
- Account information. If you sign in, your email address and authentication tokens are processed to create and access your dodili account.
- Local settings. Your default financing assumptions (down payment %, interest rate, amortization terms) are stored locally in your browser and are never transmitted.
Where data goes
Listing content and account requests are sent only to the dodili backend hosted on Supabase. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing the extension’s analysis features.
Permissions and why we need them
- activeTab / scripting — to read the listing page content when you click Scan.
- storage — to save your default financing assumptions locally.
- identity — to sign you in to your dodili account.
- host access to *.supabase.co — to send listing content for analysis and to authenticate your account.
Data retention
Scanned listing data is associated with your account so you can revisit your analyses. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
